Description:

This course is designed for law enforcement officers, crime scene investigators, medicolegal death investigators, coroners, and other officials that need to distinguish human from nonhuman bone and archaeological from forensic contexts. This one-day course will include lectures with Dr. Black covering bone and context identification, the ethical treatment of human remains, and an outdoor excavation exercise. No prior knowledge of human osteology or anthropology is required.
