Course Number:   R2 121D  Advance Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement

Description:
This course will train law enforcement officers to observe, identify and articulate the signs of impairment related to drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both, in order to reduce the number of impaired driving incidents as well as crashes which result in serious injuries and fatalities. In addition, this course will educate other criminal justice professionals (prosecutors, toxicologists, judges, etc.) to understand the signs of impairment related to drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both, to enable them to effectively work with law enforcement in order to reduce the number of impaired driving incidents as well as crashes.

This class is intended for officers who have been patrolling for two or more years and desire to have more training in the area of detection and apprehension of drug impaired drivers.

In addition, ARIDE takes the place of the eight-hour drugs that impair driving class as the prerequisite for the Drug Recognition Expert School.

PREREQUISITE:   Students must have successfully completed a full SFST training course.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The ARIDE Student Manual will be dispensed as an electronic copy the first morning of the school.

We are holding a joint ARIDE School in Ontario, OR with students from Idaho and Oregon combined.  There will also be a combination of Idaho and Oregon Instructors. 

There will be an alcohol workshop on the evening of Aug. 22nd so it may be a little later evening.

R1 – 4 Hour DUI Investigation Refresher & Wet Lab (Moscow, ID)

Course Number:    R1 121C

Description: 

This course is designed as a refresher for POST certified and commissioned personnel.  The course will involve four hours of classroom instruction.  There is a pre-test and final exam as well as a sign-off sheet for SFSE competency.  Students must complete the competency sign-off prior to the wet-lab.  All materials available in PDF format once registration is received.  The wet-lab will start between 1730 and 1830 hours, and continue until approximately 2100 hours. There will be a debrief held at the end of the wet-lab to discuss results.  20 seats available, students must RSVP so lab participants can be verified.
