Course Description:

Basic Motor Officer Course. Training for officers who will be riding motorcycles for patrol.

Equipment needed for this course:

  1. Department Police Motorcycle.
  2. Sand Blasting Hose (to wrap engine guards) and duct tape.
  3. Eyewear (wrap-around recommended).
  4. Full-fingered Gloves.
  5. Above the ankle boots.
  6. DOT or SNELL certified helmets (“3/4 shell” recommended).
  7. Leather or Kevlar jacket (optional)
  8. Drivers License with Motorcycle Endorsement or Learner’s Permit.
  9. Rain Gear/Cold Weather Gear.

Dates: July 25- August 5, 2020

Times: 0800-1700

Credit Hours: 80

Location: Pocatello Police Department, 911 N. 7th Ave., Pocatello ID, 83201

Cost: $400

R4 Motor Officer Refresher Course- Pocatello

Course Description:

Motorcycle officer refresher training.

Equipment needed for this course:

  1. Department motorcycle.
  2. Helmet
  3. Glasses (shatterproof, clear, and tinted).
  4. Other riding gear to include boots, gloves, etc.
  5. Bullet proof vest.
  6. Duty belt (to be worn during on the road training rides).

Dates: May 2-6, 2022

Credit Hours: 40

Location: Pocatello Police Department Substation #3 (located next door to the Fred Meyer at 800 Yellowstone Ave., Pocatello, ID 83201), also at the Pocatello Regional Airport EVOC pad
