Description:
The fundamental purpose of this training course is to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to correctly, accurately, and fairly instruct a Speed Measurement Device class. The correct and consistent use of speed-measuring devices is critical to maintaining the public trust and judicial acceptance developed in recent decades for speed enforcement. The course presents a body of information that will provide the student with an understanding of the need and purpose of speed enforcement, legal concepts of speed limits, understanding enforcement site selection and set up, and understanding the basic function and operating principles on which RADAR and LIDAR technology measure speed.
Pre-requisites for attendance-
- 3 years of law enforcement experience
- Completed a 40 hour Instructor Development

The WRAP is designed to stop conflicts quickly, achieve fast de-escalation and provide rapid recovery for both subject and personnel. With fast control achieved, the subject is now restrained comfortably in an upright and seated position for respiratory recovery and immediate medical care as needed. The WRAP has over two decades of saving lives, reducing injuries and minimizing risks for all involved.
This train the trainer course will certify students in the proper application of the WRAP as well the ability to train other officers with the WRAP.

Description:
This course will train law enforcement officers to observe, identify and articulate the signs of impairment related to drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both, in order to reduce the number of impaired driving incidents as well as crashes which result in serious injuries and fatalities. In addition, this course will educate other criminal justice professionals (prosecutors, toxicologists, judges, etc.) to understand the signs of impairment related to drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both, to enable them to effectively work with law enforcement in order to reduce the number of impaired driving incidents as well as crashes.
This class is intended for officers who have been patrolling for two or more years and desire to have more training in the area of detection and apprehension of drug impaired drivers.
In addition, ARIDE takes the place of the eight-hour drugs that impair driving class as the prerequisite for the Drug Recognition Expert School.
