R3 602A – Leading Multi-Generational Teams
April 24 -25, 2025 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Credit Hours: 16
Course Number: 602A
Description:
Our society is more diverse now than any other time in our country’s short history. The truth of this statement is seen every day in our workplace settings. More and more of our workplace environments are beginning to resemble the communities we serve. This is the only time in our history when we have five generations working in the workforce at the same time.
However, there is a change that is taking place in our agencies. Approximately 70-80% of our agencies are now staffed with generations Xers, millennials, and Zers, but the majority of our chain of command are baby boomers and older millennials. This class will take a deep dive into each represented generation to gain a clear understanding of each behavior and psychology. Many important generational topics will be discussed.
