April 24 -26, 2024 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Credit Hours: 16
Course Number: 228C
Description:
Child sexual abuse cases are some of the most brutal and sinister cases that you will work as professionals. Professionals that do not work these types of cases and many who do, don not truly understand the psychological complexity of these cases. Most professionals focus only on the victim’s point of view when working these cases. Most professional ask the offender “why”, but do we really want to hear their truth? The “Organized Hunting Grounds” will ask professionals to set your own morals and values to the side, so that, you can step into the shoes of the offender. To get a better understanding of this new but ancient world, this training will focus on three main topics: The Hunting Ground, Too Big to Fall, and The Interview, the Arrest, and the System. This training is based on research, statistics, and the instructor’s work experience involving these cases. The training is built around case discussions and class participation.
