R2 213 Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO) & Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA) – Nampa
June 23 – 27, 2025, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Credit Hours: 35
Course Number: R2 213
Description:
Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst for Inseyets (CCPA Inseyets) is a three (3) day advanced-level certification course focused on the analysis of forensically acquired digital evidence and advanced search techniques using Inseyets powered by Physical Analyzer (Inseyets PA). Participants will use Inseyets PA to create and manage cases and load evidence to view and analyze Android and iOS extraction data. Using the SQLite database view, participants will explore database contents to find and recover deleted data. The course includes forensic analysis best practices with an overview of verification and validation techniques along with forensic reporting. Participants will earn the CCPA Inseyets certification upon passing a knowledge test and practical skills assessment with a score of 80% or higher.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
– Demonstrate proficiency in the digital forensic process by effectively conducting digital forensic examinations using Inseyets Physical Analyzer.
– Prepare comprehensive digital forensic reports.
– Differentiate between verification and validation techniques and apply them appropriately during the digital forensic process.
– Install and configure Inseyets Physical Analyzer, explore data extractions from mobile devices, and utilize its advanced settings.
– Explore and analyze the Android and Apple operating system and file system structures, as well as their value and complexities to investigators.
– Explore advanced forensic examination tools and topics such as SQLite databases, flash memory characteristics, data carving techniques, and byte-level data searches.
Cellebrite Certified Operator for Inseyets (CCO Inseyets) is a two (2) day intermediate-level certification course that introduces mobile device unlocking, decrypting, and extraction techniques using Inseyets powered by UFED. The course guides participants through pre-extraction considerations that allow examiners to maximize their extraction efforts and protect the potential evidentiary data stored on mobile devices. Participants will gain experience conducting Logical, File System, and Physical extractions using forensically sound methods and learn techniques to achieve Before First Unlock (BFU) and After First Unlock (AFU) and apply advanced extraction strategies on locked devices. Finally, participants will create a shareable UFDR report to streamline the investigative process and discuss post-extraction evidence concerns.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
– Recall the features of UFED technologies for mobile extractions.
– Understand the significance of cellular and mobile data identification.
– Apply knowledge of encryption models to determine their impact on extraction processes.
– Use Inseyets Powered by UFED features for accelerated extractions and optimized workflows.
– Select the appropriate extraction methods based on case circumstances.
– Identify the different states a device can be in and their implications for extraction procedures.
– Analyze the value of data collected from SIM and SD card extractions.
– Assess the value and reliability of advanced extraction methods for locked Android and iOS devices.
– Critically evaluate the findings of digital forensic examinations to create effective reader reports that summarize digital forensic findings effectively.
