January 13, 2025 – Online pre-course training begins
March 14-16, 2025 – CWI classroom training, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm

Credit Hours: 78
Course Number: 123

Description:

Train commissioned police officers to draw blood on impaired driving cases or any other case where blood evidence is deemed necessary. The Law Enforcement Phlebotomy Program (LEPP) training is an important part of the impaired driving program.  While waiting for an individual or organization to respond to draw blood, vital evidence is slipping away.  The LEPP is one way to gather evidence in a timely fashion that may otherwise be lost. The LEPP is based on the very successful model used in Arizona for over 25 years now. We currently have approximately  85 trained LE Phlebotomists in departments throughout the state including but not limited to ; Nampa PD, Caldwell PD, Coeur d’ Alene PD, Twin Falls PD, Pocatello PD, ISP, Boise PD, Ada County SO, Bannock CSO, Owyhee Co. SO, Bear Lake SO, Rexburg PD, etc.

We offer this training in conjunction with CWI’s Phlebotomy program.  the schedule is as follows:

–  48 hours of on-line pre-course work – 1 hour per day, 6 days a week starting Monday, January 13, 2025
