Description:

This course gives officers the tools to write clear, detailed reports that stand up to legal scrutiny and support successful prosecutions. You’ll learn how to put your observations and actions into words that make sense to judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys alike. From explaining probable cause to describing what you saw and did, you’ll build the skills to write reports that are thorough and easy to follow. The course also shows how solid documentation can discourage suppression motions and help you recall key details when testifying in court.
