Description:
The Idaho Interdiction Training is a two-day course designed to provide law enforcement officers with a working understanding of the tactics used by top-tier interdiction experts to detect and apprehend criminals. This training covers all aspects of interdicting individuals involved in drug and human trafficking.
Course Highlights:
- Enhances an officer’s ability to identify:
- Victims of exploitation
- Missing children
- Technology-facilitated crimes against children
- High-risk threats against children
- Registered sex offender violations
- Provides insight into investigations involving:
- Child abduction
- Human trafficking
- Possession of child sexual abuse material
- Child sexual assault
Day 1 – The Art of Interdiction (Presented by Kenny Williams):
- Importance of vehicle selection
- Why criminals join criminal enterprises
- Common drug routes
- Recognizing body language
- Identifying deceptive behavior
- Common-sense approaches to understanding reasonable suspicion
- Effective officer demeanor and language
Day 2 – Interdiction for the Protection of Children (Presented by Jake Boyd):
- Breakout sessions focused on protecting children through interdiction strategies
Additional Training Sessions:
- Parcel Interdiction (Presented by Colton Clark and Jen Hiland)
- Presentation by a local prosecutor
