Description:
• Understand the ballistic and environmental effects of high-angle shooting
• Accurately engage targets from elevated positions
• Set up and stabilize their position for both urban and terrain-based scenarios
• Safely access and operate from elevated hides
• High Angle Shooting Techniques: Students will learn specialized techniques for making high- angle shots from various positions, including prone, tripod, kneeling, and sitting.
• Fundamentals of High Angle Shooting: The Industry Level 2 LE High Angle Specialty Sniper course will introduce students to the basics of shooting at high angles, both downhill and uphill.
• Precision Shooting Fundamentals: Students will master precision shooting techniques at angles ranging from 10-45 degrees, with distances from 25 meters to approximately 1000 meters.
Firing Solutions: Students will learn how to tune firing solutions for specific angles encountered in both urban and rural environments.
This includes manual adjustments and using Kestrel Ballistic solvers.
• Environmental Limitations: Students will learn to recognize and adjust for environmental limitations and new wind behaviors that affect shooting at high angles.
Tripod Shooting: Students will practice shooting from a tripod in various positions, including hasty setups.
• Versatile Shooting Positions: Students will develop skills for shooting from kneeling, sitting, standing, improvised, and hasty positions.
• Fieldcraft Effects: Students will understand the basic effects of high-angle shooting positions on fieldcraft.
