Course Number: R1 240E CANCELLED
Description:
This course has been developed to train officers involved in street patrol, highway patrol/enforcement, street crimes interdiction, gang investigation, and other street-level and interdiction assignments, on the indicators of Crime, Criminals, and Tools of the Crime Trade. These indicators have nothing to do with racial or ethnic profiles and proactively train LEOs to seek out and identify criminals and crime without using race, nationality, or religion. In fact, since this course was created in 2005, when racial profiling allegations and complaints against cops were the rave, it has been referred to as “The Anti Racial Profiling Training Course”. This course assists law enforcement agencies to concentrate their efforts on criminality, not individuals. This course also helps avoid litigation from racial/ethnic profiling allegations and train even experienced LEOs on Criminal Profile Indicators (CPI). This is exceptionally useful in training new officers and trainees in identifying crimes in progress, properly articulating actions, documenting their probable cause, report writing, and testifying in court.

Description:
Tharpe Consulting has developed a training that is INTENSE, STRESSFUL and most of all, NEEDED. No professional wants to respond to a call involving a child getting hurt, but a child’s death can be traumatic and intimidating to the most harden or skilled professional. A child’s death takes certain skills and techniques that are not typically used in an adult’s death. The CDI training is four days full of useful information and hands on training that will help the professionals sharpen their skills. The training will begin with the dynamics of child physical abuse and neglect. Because these are stressful cases, we will spend time dealing with stress that comes with these cases. Due to the complexity of a child death case, we will train in the area of burn injuries, shaken baby syndrome and non-violent child death. We will finish this informative training by instructing on crime scene processing and case management and a lot more.
