DESCRIPTION:Course Number: R2 309A\n \nDescription:  Mobile Field Force & Crowd Control Train The Trainer\n \nThis Idaho POST approved\, train the trainer course\, is designed to provide students the necessary understanding and skills needed to effectively work in a Mobile Field Force (MFF) environment.  This  Mobile Field Force & Crowd Control training is available to current LE Officers with Patrol or Probation & Parole certification who wish to obtain the instructor level training required to apply for the POST high liability Crowd Control Instructor endorsement. \nThis is a very physically demanding course\, developed as a hands-on performance based block of instruction utilizing practical exercises and scenario based training to actively engage the student.  Students will be required to effectively demonstrate and provide instruction to other students related to MFF operations\, and provide a classroom presentation on course related topics. \nUpon completion of the course\, participants will have the necessary skills to instruct other officers in the different types of Crowds and effective Crowd Management\, Field Level MFF Platoon and Squad formations\, tactics\, and movements; as well as MFF Vehicle formations\, tactics\, and movements. \nPre-requisites for attendance  \n\n\n\nCompleted Instructor Development at registration\n\n3 years of full-time LEO experience \nBasic LEO certification\nRegistration applications will be vetted by POST for approval to attend\n\n\n\n\nmarch 2021 Mobile Field Force flyer \nDates:   March 29 – April 2\, 2021\n \nTime:    0800-1700\n \nCredit Hours:   40\n \nLocation:\n \nIdaho POST Academy\n700 South Stratford Drive\nMeridian\, Idaho 83642  \nCost: $  350.00          Payable to Idaho POST\n              (Tuition does not include meals\, travel\, and/or lodging) \nDeadline:  March 8\, 2021  NOTE  – this class is limited to 40 participants.\n \nInstructors:   Lt. Kerry Giesige\, a 25 year veteran of the Long Beach Ca. Police Department\, with over 30 total years in the field of Law Enforcement.  During his career with the Long Beach PD\, Lt. Giesige spent over 16 years in the Gang and Violent Crimes Division assigned to the Gang Enforcement Section both as a Detective and Sergeant.  This section was made up of 40 Detectives\, 5 sergeants and a Lieutenant\, and was the Primary Mobile Field Force (MFF) Platoon for the Long Beach PD\, as well as the primary Mutual Aid Platoon for Los Angeles County. Lt. Giesige began his Law Enforcement career in 1992 during the aftermath of the Rodney King Riots\, since that time he has deployed over 100 times as a MFF Operator\, Squad Leader\, and MFF Instructor.\nSince retirement\, he has spent the last 3-1/2 years as a Primary Instructor at Idaho POST teaching Firearms\, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (Tac Med)\, Mobile Field Force In-Service Training and evaluating and instructing during POST Patrol Academy scenarios. \nAdditional certified Instructors will be used throughout the week as needed to maintain an appropriate instructor student ratio\, specifically during practical applications \n
