R4 Advanced Radar/Lidar Instructor- Idaho Falls CANCELLED LACK OF REGISTRATIONS

Course Description:

This is an advanced instructor course in RADAR/LIDAR operations. Students will be required to pass several competency and cognitive exams to complete this course. A Stalker moving radar system will be brought to class by the instructor for student use.

Registration is limited to those who have attended instructor development and should have at least 2-years of radar experience and 1-year of Lidar to better understand this course.  They will be given an operator and instructor Power Point presentations to take back to their departments and they need to bring a USB thumb drive for the copy. They will also be provided the booklets for each of the Advanced courses.  They will also be asked to bring their department Lidars on the second day of the training.

For the radar part of this class, the instructor will have a DSR or DSR 2X, tuning forks and an AC/DC power supply to run the radar unit and a 155-2058-00 cigarette power plug.  The instructor will do a pre-test for both radar and Lidar along with a final test for each.  Requirements are 80% to pass (miss more than 5 out of 25 questions and it is a fail.)
