This sixteen (16) hours block of training is for professionals who have been recently promoted or want to be in a leadership role in their profession: Senior officers, Sergeants, Lieutenants, Captains, SROs, FTOs, SWAT, K9, officers on leadership track, probation, parole, and correction professionals
Course Description:
Dysfunction, in some form, is always present in every organization. However, dysfunction is a component in the workplace that should be welcomed but managed. When properly managed, dysfunction can by healthy for an organization. This course is for those officers who have recently been promoted to a supervisory or team-lead role and those officers who are not currently in these positions but are on a leadership track. This course will examine many topics, including: where we find dysfunction in our agencies; types of team members working in our agency; when your team leader is the dysfunctional person; changing your team’s culture; and managing dysfunctional team members.
