Description:   Urban Rifle Course – User Training

This is a POST provided in-service training for certified officers.  This Urban Rifle Course consists of 24 hours of hands-on, performance based rifle training. Students will learn how to properly manipulate and deploy a rifle within an urban environment. The purpose of this course is to expose the student to the capabilities and limitations of the law enforcement patrol rifle.

Participants will be required to provide the following:

• Duty Rifle w/sling and at least two magazines
• Weapon mounted light and handheld flashlight
• 500 rounds of rifle ammunition
• 5 rounds of rifle duty ammunition
• Handgun and complete duty belt
• 50 rounds of handgun ammunition
• Ear protection
• Eye protection
• Elbow & knee pads
• Ball cap

All registration applications will be vetted by POST for approval to attend this training.

Pre-requisites for attendance:

• Idaho POST certification

Time:  0800-1700

Credit Hours:  24 POST Hours

Cost:     $ 120.00      Payable to Idaho POST
