R3 111F Applied De-escalation Tactics

Course Number: R3 111F

Description: This (-hour course presents a review of basic active listening and verbal de-escalation skills followed by scenario-based training in a firearms simulator.  In the simulations, the participant is able to apply the interactive skills necessary to de-escalate a potential threat in order to learn avoidance of the use of unnecessary force.  By using the VirTra 300-degree simulator, the participants are able to have an immersive, realistic experience when applying de-escalation principles.
