Description:  Basic Crime Prevention 

The Idaho Crime Prevention Association will be offering a 24hr Basic Crime Prevention Academy for law enforcement professionals.  This course will educate the practitioner in Basic Crime Prevention: History of Crime Prevention, Community Policing/Neighborhood Watch, Personal Safety, Residential Security, Commercial Security, CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design,) Facilitation, Internet/Social Media, Scams, , Retail Theft Prevention and Security Assessments. The Academy will include a final exam.

The 24 hr. Basic Academy is a prerequisite for the Idaho Crime Prevention Professional Designation.
