R2 Intermediate SWAT- Caldwell 2022

Description:  Intermediate SWAT Training

This POST certified 4 day 40 hour course is designed to provide knowledge and training to further develop officers assigned to a Special Weapons and Tactics Unit. This course is intended for tactical teams with basic understanding of SWAT operations.  The course will be taught by members of the Caldwell Police Department’s SWAT Team. The course is designed to give officers the skills to participate in the response to high risk situations encountered by tactical units. The curriculum focuses on developing not just individual physical skills but also critical thinking skills and a team mentality. The last day of training will include a field training exercise in which students will use the skills learned during the week.

• High Risk Warrant Execution and Planning
• Active Shooter Response
• Vehicle Assaults
• Bus Assaults
• Hostage Rescue
• Downed Officer / Citizen Rescue
• Introduction to Explosive Breaching
• Physical Tactics for SWAT Operators
• Tactical Firearms Training

Mandatory Equipment:

• Tactical Utility Uniforms
• Ballistic Body Armor
• Groin Protector
• Ballistic Helmet
• Gloves
• Clear Lenses & Hearing Protection
• Knee & Elbow Pads
• Baseball Cap
• 150 rounds of both handgun & rifle ammo
• Duty Handgun & Shoulder Rifle
