Description: Urban Rifle Course – User Training
This is a POST provided in-service training for certified officers. The Urban Rifle is an extremely useful tool for modern law enforcement professionals. Agencies deploying these tools must support the training required to safely and responsibly utilize them correctly. Time must be given to develop and maintain the required skills. This course is designed for the law enforcement end-user.
Students will learn how to properly manipulate and deploy a rifle within an urban environment. The purpose of this course is to expose the student to the capabilities and limitations of the law enforcement patrol rifle.
Participants will be required to provide the following:
- Duty Rifle w/sling and at least two magazines
- Weapon mounted light and handheld flashlight
- 500 rounds of rifle ammunition
- 5 rounds of rifle duty ammunition
- Handgun and complete duty belt
- 50 rounds of handgun ammunition
- Ear protection
- Eye protection
- Elbow & knee pads
- Ball cap
All registration applications will be vetted by POST for approval to attend this training.

- Idaho POST LE certification

Remarks:
This end-user course is open to all sworn certified law enforcement personnel. This is also a great opportunity for firearms instructors to receive 24 hours of continuing training and education.
