Description: Low-Light Shooting Techniques – User Training
This is a POST provided in-service training for certified law enforcement officers designed for the end-user. Shooting in low-light has long been a required and very necessary skill for law enforcement officers. The purpose of this course is to expose the student to a variety of low-light shooting skills for both the handgun and patrol rifle.
The Low-Light Firearms Course will consist of 16 hours of hands on performance based training.
The 2-day course will provide the end-user with the fundamental concepts and principles to properly manipulate and deploy a handgun and rifle during low light conditions. This will be a reverse cycle training course starting at 1700 hours each day! Instruction will be at the range, on the range…
Participants will be required to provide the following:
Duty Rifle w/sling, two magazines
500 Rounds of rifle ammunition
Weapon mounted light and handheld flashlight
5 rounds of rifle duty ammo for each weapon system
Handgun and complete duty belt
500 rounds of handgun ammunition
5 rounds of handgun duty ammo
Ear/eye pro
Ball cap
Elbow / knee pads
All registration applications will be vetted by POST for approval to attend this training.
