Course Number: R2 123
Description: Law Enforcement Phlebotomy
Commissioned officers will be trained to draw blood on impaired drivers. The Law Enforcement Phlebotomy Program (LEPP) training is an important part of the impaired driving program. While waiting for an individual or organization to respond to draw blood, vital evidence is slipping away. The LEPP is one way to gather evidence in a timely fashion that may otherwise be lost.
The LEPP is based on the very successful model used in Arizona for over 25 years now.
We currently have approximately 60 trained LE Phlebotomists in Agencies throughout the state including but not limited to ; Nampa PD, Caldwell PD, Coeur d’ Alene PD, Twin Falls PD, Pocatello PD, ISP, Owyhee Co. SO, Bear Lake SO.
