R2 123 LE Phlebotomy Course- 12/21/20 THIS CLASS IS FULL

January 11, 2021

Course Number: R2 123

Description:   Law Enforcement Phlebotomy

Commissioned officers will be trained to draw blood on impaired drivers.  The Law Enforcement Phlebotomy Program (LEPP) training is an important part of the impaired driving program.  While waiting for an individual or organization to respond to draw blood, vital evidence is slipping away.  The LEPP is one way to gather evidence in a timely fashion that may otherwise be lost.

The LEPP is based on the very successful model used in Arizona for over 25 years now.

We offer this training in conjunction with CWI’s Phlebotomy program.  the schedule is as follows:

–  48 hours of on-line pre-course work starting January 11th.
–  CWI Classroom – March 12th – 14th, 2021
–  40 hours of clinical training to follow.

The following departments now have trained LE Phlebotomists:

Nampa PD, Caldwell PD, Homedale PD,
Idaho State Police, Owyhee County SO,
Twin Falls PD, Coeur d’Alene PD
and Pocatello PD.
