R1 Response and Understanding Death Scenes – Lewiston

This course is designed with the patrol officer, patrol supervisor, detective and coroner in mind. You, the participant will be led through the process of understanding a death scene from time of call through the scene investigation process.
The training will focus on scene security, witness management, interpreting manners of death, evidence recognition / collection, scene documentation, wound identification , terminology, investigating infant / child death, signs of an altered scene and preparing the final case summary and report.
This course spends time in the area of homicide and suicide investigation.
