Training Objectives:
• Understand The importance of fingerprinting, agency responsibility, and applicable codes & regulations
• Be able to properly complete an arrest & applicant fingerprint card
• Be aware of how a criminal history record is built and maintained
• Be familiar with the fingerprint biology, patterns, & minutia
• Learn recommended fingerprinting techniques, including special circumstances
• Understand common fingerprint errors & consequences
Course Materials:
• Handouts provided
• County specific examples reviewed (optional upon request)
• Fingerprint preparation exercise
