R1-259 Combat Firearms (end-user) Course Class Cancelled 09/07/22
September 13, 2022
Course Number: R1 -259
Description: Combat Firearms Course – User Training
This is the P.O.S.T. approved 24 hour combat firearms course, designed for qualified law enforcement officers with the threefold goal of:
1. Emphasizing the importance of close quarters combat training for officer survival.
2. Equipping attendees with practical and teachable combat firearms skills and tactics.
3. Exposing attendees to a wide variety of training techniques and drills.
The course is a combination of classroom and range with an emphasis on “hands on” training to allow attendees to not only learn the skills
but to also develop and hone them. Students will be expected to demonstrate a satisfactory skill level by the completion of the course.
Due to the advanced nature of the tactics taught, students should already be at an advanced level. Little time will be spent on basic marksmanship skills,
and no time on remedial gun handling skills. Students will be expected to handle all firearms in a safe manner, and will be expected to demonstrate a mature
attitude on the range. Students will be placed in coaching roles and should be able to effectively correct errors made by fellow students.
ALL students will be required to at tend 100% of the training to receive credit for the course. Since the tactics are taught on a building block principle, missing
portions would impede the other students and jeopardize overall safety. Students will be expected to demonstrate a satisfactory skill level in the tactics taught .
