This POST course will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to function effectively as a Dispatcher.  Skills and training are given in the operation of basic to modern Dispatch Centers.  Students who graduate from this two week academy will be eligible for Basic Dispatch Certification.

Tuition for attendance is now $400.00. This tuition includes 9 lunches and 4 evening meals; meal breakdown is as follows: 9 scheduled days of classes (graduation day is not included) and 4 scheduled evening classes. Dorm room fees are $16.00 per day. Any additional meals are the responsibility of the student's agency. Tuition is non-refundable and will be billed to the student's agency on the first day of the academy. 

If you are interested in attending the Basic Dispatch Academy, you must print and submit a complete academy packet (link below) to POST. The packet must be received and cleared by POST no later than 30 days prior to the academy start date. Any packets received late will be reviewed for the next available Dispatch Academy.

Dorm rooms are available upon request when completing the academy online application. Dorm rooms are limited and are double occupancy. As with any academy, you will be sharing a room with a fellow student. 

Once your packet has been received and approved, you will be notified in an acceptance letter with further direction prior to your arrival to POST.
