DESCRIPTION:June 29 2026, 8:00am-5:00pm\nCredit Hours: 8\nCourse Number: R2 112T\nDescription:\nPOST developed an 8-hour TACMED refresher for those looking for a TCCC update, continuing education and training or to meet the pre-requisite to attend the POST Firearms Instructor Program. This course is designed to prepare law enforcement professionals for medical situations requiring a tactical solution.  At the end of the training the student will be able to apply first aid treatment within the principles of TCCC and save preventable deaths without causing further causalities to team members.\nGiven a tactical mission, the student will be able to assess and recognize a life-threatening injury, provide effective treatment, and extricate the casualty from a hostile fire scenario while maintaining cover and effectively utilizing tactical movement strategies.\nThis is a very physically demanding course. Participants will be required to lift, drag, and carry personnel throughout the entire block of training.  Participants will also be placing tourniquets on self and others utilizing proper application techniques. \nStudents should bring the following to class—\n\nLaptop\nPen/Paper\nUtility-type clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty\nDuty Belt\nVest\n\nLocation:\nIdaho POST Academy\nClassroom A\n700 S.
