DESCRIPTION:CLASS IS FULL\nMarch 18-19, 2026,  8:00 am – 4:30 pm\nCredit Hours: 16\nCourse Number: R3 120\nDescription:\nThis two-day course will expose Illicit and Abused drugs, emerging drugs, drugs which are constantly modified to stay under the radar of the law, and the constant counterfeiting of prescription drugs killing Americans everyday across this country. Officers will learn how to identify and understand the individual hazards that each substance presents from the traffic stop, calls for service, working undercover, or processing a drug-related search warrant. Officers will learn how each substance fits into the five classes under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) from narcotics, depressants, stimulants, hallucinogens and anabolic steroids. Each officer will build drug paraphernalia props during the course to further their knowledge of how paraphernalia is used. This course is ideal for: all Police Officers, Detectives, Sheriff’s Deputies, Corrections Officers, Corrections Investigators, Federal Agents, SIU Investigators, and other Law Enforcement and Public Safety Personnel.
