DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED\nSeptember 3-4,  2025, 2:00 pm – 11:30 pm (ending time may vary)\nCredit Hours: 20\nCourse Number: 127\nDescription:\nThis is a POST provided in-service training for certified law enforcement officers; this training is designed for the end-user.  Shooting in low-light has long been a required and very necessary skill for law enforcement officers. The purpose of this course is to expose the student to a variety of low-light shooting skills for both the handgun and patrol rifle.  The Low-Light Firearms Course will consist of 16 hours of hands on performance based training. The 2-day course will provide the end-user with the fundamental concepts and principles to properly manipulate and deploy a handgun and rifle during low light conditions.  Instruction will be at the range, on the range.\nParticipants will be required to provide the following:\n\nDuty rifle with sling and at least two magazines\nWeapon mounted light and/or handheld flashlight\n600 rounds of rifle training ammunition\n 5 rounds of duty rifle ammo\nHandgun and complete duty belt\n600 rounds of handgun ammunition\n5 rounds of handgun duty ammo\nEar/eye pro\nElbow & knee pads\nBall cap\nRange suitable clothing, water\n\nPre-requisites for attendance  – Idaho POST Basic certification\nInstructors:\nPOST Coordinator: Jeff Sklar – jeff.sklar@post.idaho.gov ( mailto:jeff.sklar@post.idaho.gov )\nLocation:\nIDOC Range\n14601  Pleasant Valley Road\nKuna, Idaho  83634\nCost: $250 (Attendees are responsible for meals, travel, and lodging)\nRegistration Details:\nPlease use the form below.
